Hong Kong relaxes entry requirements for inbound travellersWith the inbound travel ban lifted on 1 May, non-residents from overseas are now able to fly into Hong Kong subject to the same testing and quarantine requirements as Hong Kong residents. This is complemented by an enhanced “test-and-hold” arrangement at the airport to reduce waiting time by allowing travellers to proceed to their quarantine hotels upon being tested negative by Rapid Antigen Test without having to wait for a PCR test result, as well as further increase in the supply of Designated Quarantine Hotels to meet the demand of inbound travellers. In tandem with the resumption of inbound travel from overseas, we have also introduced arrangements for overseas travellers to obtain a Provisional Vaccine Pass and declare non-local recovery records, with a view to facilitating their activities in Hong Kong under the Vaccine Pass requirements. In addition, the route-specific flight suspension mechanism and quarantine requirements for air crew have been adjusted to give more certainty and flexibility to travel plans. As our economic activities continue to resume under a stabilising pandemic situation, these measures will enable our friends in the ASEAN region to visit Hong Kong more easily and see the opportunities we continue to offer. Check out the details of the latest testing and quarantine requirements here as we look forward to welcoming you back very soon! |
