Budget 2022-2023Our Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, delivered the latest annual 2022-23 Budget on 23 February 2022. This is a timely and appropriate Budget that focuses on supporting an all-out effort to win the fight against the epidemic and supporting the economy and fostering a post-epidemic revival.Hong Kong will make good use of national policies and exploring the vast Mainland market and participating in the domestic circulation of the national economy. At the same time, our city will play a bridging and platform role at the intersection of domestic and international circulations well, connecting domestic and foreign markets and investors, and assisting Mainland enterprises to explore the international market. Expanding out on talent attractionWith an abundance of opportunities, Hong Kong is keen to share the benefits with talents around the world. Announced in the Budget 2022-23, our Government will further expand our flagship talent attraction programme - the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme - by including new categories on asset management compliance and financial professionals in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), so as to attract more targeted talents to Hong Kong.Read more about the scheme here. |

Chinese New year messageDirector-General of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Mr Law Kin-wai, shared a Chinese New Year Message to celebrate the Year of the Tiger. Mr Law reviewed the very close ties between Hong Kong and ASEAN countries, and highlighted how Hong Kong and the ASEAN can further cooperate to tap into the vast opportunities in Mainland China through Hong Kong. |
