HK-Singapore Air Travel Bubble to be relaunchedDesignated flights under the bilateral Air Travel Bubble arrangement will begin on May 26, resuming cross-border air travel in a gradual and orderly manner amidst stabilised epidemic situations of the two places.The re-launch of the ATB not only meets the aspirations of the people and business communities on cross-border travel, but also signifies that gradual resumption of cross-border travel is achievable through mutual collaborations among different places. Hong Kong adjusts boarding and quarantine rulesSince April 14, Hong Kong has been implementing the tightened commercial flight suspension mechanism to address the risk of importation of mutant strains of COVID-19 from very high-risk places.Under the scheme, all passenger flights from India, Pakistan and the Philippines would be prohibited from landing in Hong Kong for 14 days from midnight on April 20. All passenger flights from Nepal will also be prohibited from landing from May 1. Click here for full details. There are also plans to implement new arrangements to shorten compulsory quarantine period for fully vaccinated persons from 21 days to 14 days under the "vaccine bubble" concept. |

HK vaccination programme expandedOur vaccination programme has been expanded to cover persons aged 16 to 29 from April 23, meaning that all Hong Kong residents above 16 years old are now eligible to get vaccinated. The minimum age for receiving the BioNTech vaccine is 16, and that for receiving the Sinovac vaccine is 18. Booking can be made on the Vaccination Programme website.More than 1.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public so far. |
